Sunday morning when I getting into my Black 2005 Crossfire Coupe, I noticed something shiney on the drivers side.... After closer inspection - KEYED!!!!! From one end to the other! I was (still am) SICK!!! One solid wavy line from front to back! Seems to be deeper on car door and definitely to the metal!

Why do people act like this!!!????

Now to call insurance!

Because there are minimal repercussions even if they do get caught by the police. mere vandalism of course, and if you catch them at it a beat them silly then it's YOU that gets hauled off for assault. The system is completely backwards, in my opinion. Here in Minnesota we have a problem with theives breaking into ice fishing homes, which can get quite elaborate. If we were able to booby trap our stuff, we'd be able to teach people to keep their frickin' hands off other peoples' stuff. I'm a firm believer in not starting something but being sure as hell to finish it in my favor when it comes to stuff like this. Then the opportunities to have to finish stuff get less and less over time. A 14 year old friend of mine taught me that many years ago. I've been eternally greatful to him for that lesson.

1X100, really sorry to hear that. I think I would rather have somebody break into my car and steal something rather than have the whole side of the car keyed. I'm not a violent person by nature, but if I ever caught somebody doing that to one of my cars, I really don't think I could keep myself from going "ballistic" on their A$$.
By the way, what color is your car?

That sucks, people like that should be tied up and drug behind the car they vandalized for punishment.

 

Just curious, was it on the street or parking lot? The only time I got keyed, it was in a parking lot near the front entrance of the store (lots of foot traffic) Now I always park in the outer perimeter of the parking lot away from the other cars and delinquents on foot.

BTW, ever park way out there without hardly any other cars and return to find a big SUV next to you? I think they do it to mess with our heads.

 

Yeah, it never seems to fail ! Park out in the South Forty at the local feed lot only to come out and find my baby surrounded by beaters and pickup trucks !!!

If your talking about the ones that are out in the middle of the lake thin the ice out there. My grandfather would do this. Its not a smart thing but it worked. He used to thin the ice out right near the door so when people stepped in they fell into the water. It sure taught people a lesson.

yep, cassidy, them are the ones. what a great idea! LOL We have a camper on a seasonal site and every couple of times a summer the 20 somethings will swing thru and steal stuff. We've been trying to figure out a way to catch 'em but so far no luck. the security cams are good, but you have to keep clearing them off all the time. there has to be a creative way to get these turds.

 

I would like to catch one of the a-holes and key them from head to toe!

It never fails to amaze me some of the things people do. I do not care if your car is worth $5 or $5,000,000 you just do not mess with another persons property like that.

I had a lady run her shopping cart against my old '84 F-350. Just had the whole cab and drivers side box side repainted after part of our shop's roof came down on it from being overloaded with snow. Huge long scratch through the new paint. I was p*ss*d but what put me over the edge was when she said it was just a sh*tty farm truck and that I shouldn't worry about it. I walked over to her newer Yukon and whacked the mirror a little harder than I thought I was going to knocking it clear off and left it hanging by the wires. I think I was just as shocked as she was but the words that came out of my mouth couldnt' have been better "What? It's just a sh*tty Yukon!" She didn't say a word, got in her SUV and drove away. I figured I was going to get a phone call from the police but never did. People have no freaking respect for other peoples stuff these days and it starts at a young age. Back in the day it used to be and eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. I know if it was me and I found out who did it, I'd follow them around and be their shadow for a few days. Find out what they do and then F*CK THEIR COUCH. Black car...Gallon of white, oil based paint. White car... Well you get the idea. BTW, if that happens, I denounce ever making such a comment but I live by the motto, I dont' get mad, I don't get even, I get ahead!
