Default Snake bitten

So our very own Z28toXFire (AKA Justin) works in sales for Superformance, maker of the finest Cobra, GT40 and Daytona Coupe replicas on the planet - and Carroll Shelby's favorite cars of this ilk. But every now and then I get to play with one of them.... or at least detail one.

Like this little baby:

Yeah, it looks good in this shot, from this distance, but up close was another story:

Yep, swirl city. But after 7 hours of buffing she looked like this:

Looks Great! Were they so happy with your work that they let you test drive that baby?

I have no interest in driving this Flintstone-mobile.

That's not a slam against the Cobra, it's more a comment on the reality that this particular vehicle lacks an engine at the moment, so it's only motive power would come from my feet.

Now a couple of the GT40s and Daytona Coupes were complete cars, and those I'd LOVE to drive!!!

Why is it that so many people that own black cars don't have a clue as to "what not to do" so their paint does not ever get to that point?

Beautiful cars!

My dad's boss bought one of those a few years back, the real deal. Don't know how much he payed, but it was a good bit. Drove it a bit, and put it in a trailer to tow behind his truck to take to storage. On the way there, lady ran a red light and hit right between the truck and the trailer. Totaled all of it, truck, trailer, and cobra. I was surprised he didn't shoot her.

He may as well have though, he got the cobra repaired and her insurance payed for it. I bet her rates went up a bit.

That paint looks awesome!

Did I hear someone say BLACK?
Insert derogatory BLACK car comment here!

Congrats Mike. Somehow you took a BLACK car and made it look better. Didn't know that was possible without a color change!

There's two cars I'd trade my car for (my wife would never let me have two toys) one is a Cobra the other a 33 Ford lowboy roadster. That is a pretty Cobra and as usual Mike a stellar job on those swirl marks. There's probably a dozen or more Cobra's that are in this area and I've not seen one yet without side pipes, it actually looks really nice without them. Very cool!

Mike!
Don't want no Z! Don't want no Porch!
Don't want no vette!
I want a "Crossfire"! (opps got a little alabaster one)
I might be interested in a "Flinstoner"
Those Cobras are exceptional
I always liked Betty

I don't recommend Black to anyone who does not have 1/2 of your skills.

Real deal 428 Cobras go for upwards of $1/2 million. I bet her insurance went up. Great work as usual, Mike.
