Default Small wear spots seat bolsters

All,
Nothing other than FP's suggestion to resort to an upholstery shop comes up using the search engine. Understand that the Limited seats are vinyl trim with only the seat inserts actual leather. The outboard bolster on both drivers and passengers seats have a small cluster of tiny white spots (dark slate bolster, medium slate inserts) I'm assuming from wear. IS THERE A FIX ?? DEALER, COMMERCIAL, OTHER ?? Other than slate gray, what's the correct color code(s) for the 2 tone seats ?

I used a company called ColorGlo. Price is negotiable. They are national franchises. http:\\Color Glo - Leather Repair and Restoration

They are mobile units and can come to you. I had a radical transformation that took two guys 10 hours to complete. They did the seats, dash, door panels, A pillar, headliner and hatch area.

If all you need is the seats, they do a remarkable job on dying and repairing the leather and it is permanent. BTW this may be a good option for those with peeling center consoles as well.

If I am not mistaken, the seats are all leather excpt for the cloth next to the console and of course the back.

Here are some pics

How much did this end up setting you back? It look awesome btw! I thought at first this was a complete interior swap out. I had no idea they could change color of all the surfaces.

SRT SIX I really thought that was a completly new interior. That looks great. Super job.

In regards to leather/vinyl on the seats. The seats in the Xfire are a combo of leather and vinyl. The vinyl is the just like leather. Mercedes uses this in some seats and interiors. Honestly it wears like iron. Sorry they did not do the entire seat in this material. Can't remember the Mercedes name for it.

I have the stuff in my Mercedes except for my leather seats and it wears like iron. It would eliminate all the seat issues you see on the Forum except for the comfort. My seats in my Mercedes are much more comfortable then the Xfire. Same year too -- 2007 so it is not just a age thing.

Next time I'm in Phoenix at the dealership I"ll try a older SLK to see how those seats are. They always have two or three on the lot.

Maybe someone here can also provide some input.
