Default Tire shine

So we've had threads on glass cleaners, and rain-x, and rim cleaners, and crystalguard, and zaino, and ...

What product do you use on your tires for that deep black wet look?

I like Meguiar's Endurance, although unfortunately I can only seem to get it directly from Meguiars.com. They make it in normal and high gloss. I've never had anything on my tires that lasts that long, even after driving through the rain. I suggest trying it. Piece of cake with the sponge applicator. Still waiting to get some more to put on my new crossfire.

I wonder how that compares to Meguiar`s Hot Shine Tire Spray? A buddy at work recommended that.

David - I haven't tried the hot shine spray, although I was looking at it the other day. I like their Gold Class Endurance because it is a gel and applies easily with their applicator, so you don't have to worry about overspray or drips or anything. I suggest ordering some from their website and giving it a try. I haven't tried anything new since I switched to that several years ago.

Their web site says Walmart, Kmart, and Pep Boys stock the Endurance product, and I pass at least one of each on the way home, so I'm off to check.

I just started using Meguiar's Endurance and I have to say I'm very impressed. Especially now that I'm not washing my wheels every other day. Endurance seems, so far, to last longer than anything I've used in the past. It's a lot thicker than anything I've ever used.

I'm with you WMichaels. I have to get another bottle so I can use it on my new crossfire. I'm not sure how it looks on such low profile tires yet.

David - my local pep boys didn't have it, although that one is a crappy store. I haven't checked out walmart or kmart though. I went to AutoZone, Kragen, and Pep Boys to find the endurance, but alas, came up empty. Who knew it'd be so hard!

I bought a bottle at Pep Boys (along with some sponge applicators) this evening. WoW! This stuff is THICK. Did the XFire and the wife's Murano.

Note it was about $2 more/bottle than on the Meguiar's site!

David - let us know what you think of it as time goes on. I don't know how much shipping is on the Meguiar's site, so they get you there. Wish I could just find it locally. Can you put some in a baggy and mail it to me? just kidding. Glad you are enjoying it.

LOL!

Maybe I should fill a syringe and mail it to you, so you'd have a nice applicator too?!?

I'll check on shipping from meguiars.com. I paid $6.97 + 4.5% sales tax at Pep Boys, seems to me now the 16oz. bottle was $5.99 on the site?

I have been using Wet and Black by Turtle Wax.

I like it, but I never heard of the Meguiar product. When this bottle runs out, I will look for it and give it a try.

Meguiar's Endurance:
First impression NOT GOOD. My poor Alabaster looks like a damn dalmation, black specs all over.
I put a fairly thick coat on last night, and a very light touchup second coat (per the bottle, two coats for best results) this morning. The car sat about an hour in garage before I left for work, when I arrived the car looks HORRIBLE. A buddy here at work had recommended Meguiar's Hot Shine, says he NEVER gets spinoff like I'm seeing. Maybe I shoulda listened to him? Or did I just not give the Endurance enough time to dry?

bummed...

I've used Endurance a few times now and didn't get any "spinoff". But like most things I didn't read the instructions... ... So I applied it like all other tire dressings and wiped off any excess. The tires look great for about a week to a week and a half. Then it's time to do it again.

Hmm. Like WMichaels, I've never had anything but a great, even coat. I wonder if you put TOO MUCH on perhaps. Not sure.

I've tried the Eagle One stuff but have recently gotten some Meguier's Hot Shine ... It's a very good product and lasts for some time, depending on where you drive, the occasional mud puddle etc.

I like how deep black the sidewalls get ...

Don't bother with the ArmorAll protectant gel. Weak sauce.

I am currently using the Meguiars Endurance High Gloss. Once I use this bottle I will return to the Endurance Low Sheen. My preference is the less glossy look.
Very happy with the product from Meguiars.
