Default Armor All Car Wash Wipes

Just wanted to share with you all what I have discovered.

Armor All Car Wash Wipes. These are the greatest thing since "sliced bread" for cleaning both the inside and the outside of your car. I mean it. I wouldn't be caught dead without them now. I even use them on my Harley.

I recently drove my 65 Shelby GT350 from Mesa, AZ to Nashville TN for the 40th Mustang Anniversary and was able to maintain a car show look all while I was on the trip with just these handy little wipes and a bottle of WIndex and some towels.

Here's the details on them:
http://www.armorall.com/prodcat/page...ipes_1.10.html

They are hard to find in the stores, Wallgreen's is the only place I've found that carries them. No auto parts stores I have shopped carry them. You can also buy them on line from Wallgreen's on-line webiste shown here:
http://www.walgreens.com/store/produ...&id=prod393255

Give them a try, you'll love them.

I have yet to see this product. I have been lugging aournd a couple of small towels and some zaino Z-6 Ultra Clean for getting off bugs on long trips (those towels get dirty and cost too much to toss). If this stuff is cheaper and works as good then I am in. I will pick up some this weeked. Thanks for the FYI!

I've had my Explorer since I bought it new in 1999 and it's been great. No problems at all. It's got 120k and runs like the day I brought it home. That's why I still have it and don't want to get rid of it. The only car I would real cuss was my 1997 Chrysler Cirrus that I traded for the Explorer.... Now that car was junk!!!

Dad has a 1969 ford f150 custom cab since new. $2995.00 tax license and out the door.

Has had two eng rebuilds, new tranny and rear end. He lost count on how many times around the clock.

Not a spot of rust.

If this does not testify that fords, of that time at least, are not good than what can.

My opinion of the new ArmorAll Car Wash wipes:

I found a box of at Walgreenfs (as Doc said, none to be found in the automotive stores around town) and tried them out. 10 wipes to a box @ $4.99.

I used 3 wipes to clean my XF, two to wipe off the car and the third to go over it once more as suggested in the instructions. I have mixed feelings about them. They dry out too quickly which IMO canft be good for the paint. They are too thin and too smallc13" x 15" before you fold them into quarters as suggested. It feels like you are wiping the car down with a thin wet handkerchief.

My .02‘ worthc Ifll stick with Quick Detailer. You can lay down as much or as little of the product as you wish, depending on how dusty the car is. A towel covers a larger area and "feels" like youfre holding something in your hand. The wipes are best saved for small touch up jobs. Thanks for the heads-up on the new product but the little tissue feeling doesnft do it for me.

Has anyone else tried them yet?

BTW I use a gsmallh tool box to throw my cleaning supplies in when we take the XF out on a trip. It holds everything I need to keep the car clean while on the road and doesnft take up much space.

FYI, I was in Auto Zone this morning to pick up some essentials and they are now stocking the entire Armor All car wipes line.

I also shop at Auto Zone a lot and so far I haven't seen any of the Car Wash Wipes yet they do carry many of the other Armor All wipes but NOT the ones I have mentioned here specifically. So far Walgreen's is the only place I've found the actual "Car Wash Wipes" besides buying them on line.

AZ Outlaws I am sorry you were dissappointed with their size. I guess they aren't for everyone but so far I find them very helpful. The reason they dry out so quickly is due to the alcohol used in them I would think. That's why they don't streak!

Hey when are we going to get to meet each other?
We're almost neighbors I think.

Try clicking on the "Watch this Topic for Replies" at the very bottom of each thread you want to be notified about. I have hit it a couple of times by accident and always receive email about it.

Yeh we are. I'm over here in the slums, on the very edge of Mesa near Ellsworth and Broadway.

Pick a Saturday, maybe we can post a loop run up to Globe/Miami across to Payson and back down to the valley. Or somewhere else if you can come up with something. Any excuse to get out and drive... gotta be careful of the afternoon monsoon storms this time of year tho, don't want to get caught out in all the blowing dust rain and hail etc.

Thanks for the invitation but we (my wife and I) already have plans on that date but we might be able to make the Vegas run.

Thanks for the TIP about "Wtach this topic for replys".

Thanks
