Never Wax Again
I just got my Klasse the other day. My car was crying for some wax, polish, or something. As the the paint was in very clean and like new condition, per the label on the Klasse Glaze it is OK to skip the all in one and go right to the glaze, which is exactly what I did. The results were better than I could have hoped for. All the little surface scratches and swirls just disappeared. This stuff is truly amazing. I hope it lasts a while. I also made up my own formulation of quick detailer. I added a few ounces of of the glaze to a spray bottle and then added water to that. Now when ever I need to do a quickie thats all I will have to use. I got that tip from some detailing site. This stuff is well worth the money.
Klasse AIO should always come before the Glaze. Without AIO, the Sealant Glaze will have nothing to bond to. I bet that you would of had a much better job if you put the AIO first.
OH SH*T! You're right. The shine just fell off my car when I went over 60 MPH.
I respect your opinion, but I think I will trust the instructions on the label.
Copied from the label. Work smarter, not harder.
"Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze is a highly concentrated product especially formulated for Automotive, Marine and Aviation applications. It provides an additional Acrylic protective layer over the Klasse All in One protector.
If the surface is new and not oxidized the Sealant Glaze can be applied without preceding with the Klasse All in One cleaner protector.
With an easy on - easy off application, the sealant glaze bonds to the paint and provides an elastic, non chip, shrink proof, heat and scratch resistant acrylic finish which seals the vehicle surface against oxidisation, road salts, salt water, sun, industrial pollutants and corrosive elements. It provides an exceptionally brilliant "wet look" shine for up to 12 months."

You know, this thread is useless without pics. I will post pics as soon as the weather gets better and I can put all my time into detailing my car.
Knowit, how old is the Crossfire? You say that the car was appropriately clean, but did you apply the SG after a car wash?
Secondly, when you applied the SG to the paint, did the applicator look dirty when you were all done? If it was, then your paint was not fully "clean."
Thirdly, I hate to sound really ****, but I just want to give you info so that you can get the BEST results.

Golfdude, I do appreciate your concern. I applied the SG with a random orbit polisher using a foam pad. The foam pad was perfectly clean after doing the whole car. I think the All in one is a great product for most neglected cars that are on the road today that get waxed once or twice a year. My CF has always been in the garage, never comes out in the snow or rain if I can help it, and it has been waxed about every month since I have had it. So I think the paint was in very clean condition to begin with. I do know that my CF has never looked better. I think that in itself is something to say for this product. And I used to use the Pinnacle Carnuba wax.
Thanks for your appreciation...I hope to see you on May 15th in Hudson Valley for the little Crossfire tour so that we can talk in person. I hope to see your Crossfire there too. Maybe you can post some pics on the site of the car now?

I put two coats (one after the other) of Klasse all in one on my black roadster. It looks amazing. I'm now putting on the glaze. Do I have to wait before I can do it? I f I want to put 2 coats of the glaze do I have to wait in between coats?
thanks

thanks for that. The car came out great after the glaze.
Question?? It took a little elbow grease to get the glaze off. I waited an hour for it to dry. Is that because I put on too much? Or is it because the temperature was too cold (45 degrees)
Any suggestions

Yes.... probably. It doesn't take very much glaze. It's very easy to put too much on. That's why they recommend you use a quick detailer spray for a lubricant so you don't put too much on at a time. You can buff it pretty soon after you apply it, you just need to allow some time between applications of the Glaze. at 45 deg. I dunno... maybe 6-8 hours? I usually wait about 4-5 hours between applications, but it's pretty warm here.

For paints in bad condition, I would use a machine polish, as it really helps. What is more important when using the machine polish is the pad selection. Go to autopia-carcare.com and get the Sonus DAS polisher kit for $200.00. You will not be sorry.
Got my kit and was a little suprised with the brief instructions. I don't have a garage and the weather is warming up, however, pollen count is high and my xfire has a yellow coating of pollen. I was wondering how fast the AIO and glaze set up and if I should be concerned about all the pollen flying around. Many have mentioned that the glaze needs hours to set up. Should I wait until the tree buds are gone or is it OK to apply now?
TIA

I'm looking to protect my new Crossfire...I find this product interesting. Is everyone still happy with this product? Its been a while since there have been any posts regard it. I just bought some Maguire's Gold paste but having second thoughts.

It's funny how just last night I did a detailing presentation to my car club. I was showing them how to polish (I was using an old, beat-up panel), and then I asked everyone to touch the panel. I then put All-In-One onto the surface, then asked everyone to touch the panel again...everyone started to smile and giggle like little boys. No joke, this one person said "this feels better than new paint!" The fact is, I have yet to find a product that leaves the paint feeling as slick as All-In-One! Now, some may say that it leaves a sterile shine, but that's up to you to decide. Did anyone mention that All-In-One can also be used as a rain repellent for the windshield?
