Cleaning The Wheel Wells
Hi all. A detailer used some kind of thick black crap on my tires to make them shine. It was coming off all over the sides of the car so I cleaned as much of the stuff off of the tires as I could. But I noticed the other day that it's also all over the inside of the wheel wells. I can take my fingernail and scrape it off. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what to use to clean this up?
If it's just road tar kerosene is safer and will take
it off ,brush it on let it sit awhile
it off ,brush it on let it sit awhile

I had considered using gasoline. I used it to remove tar on the chrome of my cars back in the day when they had chrome bumpers. But I know how volatile gasoline is and remembered how you can actually ignite it using it that way. It seems like a tarry kind of stuff but I don't know.
Ditto this suggestion! Hose it off real good once the cleaning is done. Product does kind of smell.
Another option is Dawn dish washing detergent. Cleans up just about anything I've ever used it on. Remember the commercials showing ducklings covered in crude oil from spills in the Gulf being cleaned up using Dawn.

Thanks! I have a small brush similar to that but I might get a bigger one.
