Angry Mercedes dealer wont sell export parts!

Sheesh what APITA. My local MBZ dealer will not sell me the export exhaust pipes for deleting the catalytic converters! What's the point in being a parts dealer for MBZ if you can't get my parts!

Does anyone else here know of a good dealer that can get me the stuff I need.

part number is: 5101 597AA and 5101 598AA

you might have some luck if you try www.ctd-germany.com; i ordered a german-spec left-side taillight from them (with the rear fog lamp) and it wasn't outrageously priced at all. i was really happy with the help Tino gave me.

good luck --

It's not the dealership. You can blame the EPA. It's a federal crime to sell stuff that intentionally bypasses the smog control stuff.

Hey thanks NXMX5,
but I can't seem to find an email contact on their website, do you have one for your guy Tino?

Tino always emailed me from the site's generic email address: info@crossfiretuning.de

He's also the one on the forum orchestrating what used to be our "mesh grille project" -- his user name is: CTD-Germany or CTD-Germany.com

I believe this may be a direct email for Tino. I have purchased many items from him in the past. I've also spoken to him over the phone several times. In fact, my xfire is the only one posted in their gallery.

Good luck.

In fact, my xfire is the only one posted in the CTD-Germany gallery, so far.

Looks great; just wish they would allow the photos to enlarge. Nice work.

I believe that they do enlarge. They are 900 x 600. I assume that you mean beyond the thumbnail size.

I did mean beyond the thumbnail. And they are indeed opening this time. The car looks great. Now all you need to add are the CTD-Germany clear front side markers...

I've considered those. But, for the meantime, I've been working on tweaking the roll bars a little.
