Default 6-speed gearshift boot

Does anybody know where I can get a new boot for my 6-speed? I noticed today that it has a 1/4 inch slit in the leather.

I went to look on ebay and found this. It looks right but it says it fits Mercedes and Crossfires 2000-2004. Now I know those years aren't right so does anybody know if this is the right part? Did the boot change between years? I would doubt it.

I would be interested in a "used" one as long as it's in great shape. Any help? Thanks!!!

The one you linked fits perfectly, I have it on mine. You do have to re-use the plastic boot ring at the bottom of your stock shift ****, but if I remember correctly there were detailed instructions with it.

I believe I had to wait about 2 weeks after payment because mine shipped from Germany.

I would offer you my old one, but I replaced it for the same reason. Plus this new one has the silver ring around the top that matches most Blaupunkt radio heads.

RyanB,

Thanks! Just a question for clarification. This comes with the shifter, handle and boot, right?

If you're looking for just the boot, these are very nice....

syfi,

They look really nice. I e-mailed them to ask if they know which of their leather colors match my dark slate/vanilla interior. If anyone else knows, please speak up.

Thanks!

Ya Jim, they are a great company to deal with. They will customize the boots anyway you want. I have their Italian leather door pull covers and they are fabulous & extremely well made. If you're in no hurry you can order samples to best match the interior, such as charcoal or medium grey & cream or beige.

Looks like you found a great replacement boot, but to answer your question: Yes, it comes with the ****, boot, and install hardware. The only thing that you had to salvage off your old shift **** was the plastic ring stapled to the leather boot that mates to your center console.

RyanB,

Still debating as to which direction to go. Once I hear from Reline about matching my colors, that might make my decision for me.

Thanks for your help.
