Default Help to ID a part

I was cleaning inside my engine bay today and I was attempting to clean between the battery and the wiper washer tank when I felt something fall. I was able to reach down and grab the part. It is shaped like a zippo lighter, opaque plastic. One side has a connector that looks like a vacuum hose could be connected to it. It has a Mercedes logo on it and a part # A0005410063. I tried to run the number is several sites, one of which said it was an oil filter, which it obviously is not. Can anyone help me out. If it needs to be put back somewhere, I'd like to know where. Any info appreciated. Thanks, Bob

It looks like it might be some kind of vent or overflow bottle for the battery, it sticks into the side of the battery like this...

Wow you guys really come through. That is exactly what it was. Went to the garage, and put it right back where it belongs. Thanks Lochmoy, hope I can return the favor sometime. Bob
