Default 2006 Crossfire exhaust

Hello folks !

Just got a 2006 base model six speed Crossfire coupe.

I notice I DO NOT HAVE a resonator as part of the factory exhaust system.

I'd like a sportier sound without highway speed DRONE.

Any ideas/suggestions ?

Slim

Borla makes one.

Greetings,

Yes I'm aware of the Borla system.

But their part illustration shows a resonator my car does not have.

Don't really want to ADD another muffler ! I'm trying to keep it light, and simple and , hopefully, cost effective.

Any other 2006 owners with ideas ?

Slim

As you will come to find out, there are very few mods out there for the Crossfire. Other than an ECU re-tune by Speed Innovations & the Borla exhaust, there's not a whole lot out there.

Congrats slim. Enjoy your new ride. What color is it? How much did you pay for it?

Well I'm not scared to be an innovator.

I'm thinking of dumping the "Y" pipe, running "true" dual pipes around the diff to a Magnaflow two-in-two-out muffler in the stock location. I know some pretty darn good tube hangers around here. I'll post some pix once I get it done later this spring. Need to find some nice rectangular polished tips so the finished product won't look too "rural" !

Cheers,

Cincinnati Slim

email magnaflow ... they have a system listed for our car in pre production stage ... every email about it pushes it closer to being complete.

Howdy,

Just e-mailed Magnaflow. Guess I'll have to wait a little on the exhaust mod. Think I'm gonna burn up these OEM Contis by Summer's end!

Got mine for $ 19,995 at Wullenweber here in Cincinnati. Black six-speed base coupe. Folks jaws drop when I tell 'em what it cost ! The dealer said they have three more on the way at that price and that's all...

I'm gettin' the word out, they'll go quick, Spring's about here already !

Cheers,

Slim

What a car for under 20K! Enjoy your ride. If that's not grand theft auto I don't know what is.
