Octane Additives/Boosters
So what does everyone else use when 94 Octane is not present?
I just lost my 94 Octane Gas Station, and was wondering what additives/boosters everyone uses to increase octane levels?
Just had the SI ECU Upgrade that was tuned for 93/94 Octane levels, and would like to keep Octane level at 94 or above without damage to engine or pocketbook!

make your own home brew octane booster ... there are some recipes floating around the vette boards, evo boards ...
its mainly touline which can be bought inexpensively from home depot in a big big can and some oil to keep it from drying out the rubber o-ring seals on the injectors over time ... does it work ? it has for cars making much more power ...

Toluene 100% pure... mfg. by Bortz Chemicals is a pure hydrocarbon with an octane rating of 121. There is a simple mathematical formula used to mix various pump gas octane levels with toluene to achieve the final result. Search the forum for previous posts, or search google... Be careful not to get this stuff on your paint...
PS: California has banned the sale of Toluene in hardware / paint stores because of new EPA regulations... I have to order it from Arizona now... BUMMER !
OR, if you're into the full race thing, go to this website. http://www.motorsportsracingfuels.co...Additives.html

When you two get together, someone is about to get into some serious tuning!
However, I'm just looking to raise my Octane level 10 points, from 93 to 94 Octane. Anything less potent than a nuclear explosion inside my cylinders would be greatly appreciated!

Speaking of Meth, have you guys tried mixing methanol into your gasoline? It has a very high octane rating and you can buy it for $2.75-$4.00 here in LA. Heck you can also mix 5% nitro methanol into the alky, for quicker revs, more responsive throttle.

As far as Methanol, here's a better concoction for a semi-stock vehicle... I'm sure you've seen the mixture in my other posts... Toluene & Propylene Oxide & Gasoline... 7-10 hp increase without increasing the jet sizes...
