Default SuperTrapp?

Has any one used a set of 4" supertrapps on a CF yet?

I have a set of 4" X 17" with 2" inlet SuperTrapps on the way.
The plan is to run duals with a crossover about 30" aft of the manifolds.

The Trapps are SS and should look nice when done.

Do crossfire's not have an H or X pipe? Or are they single exhaust?

i am considering two megaphone supertrapp's ... however i do not like any of the end plate designs so i am a bit turned off by that ... the tunable sound and backpressure would be a great thing tho.

Why not just turn your own endplate design from aluminum and drill the mounting holes? Easy japanesy. Hell just fab up an FMF exhaust, lol.

Yeah I want to hear that exhaust. Just as long as it doesn't sound like a TR6 triumph with a magnaflow exhaust on it, lol.

I haven't heard a SuperTrapp exhaust yet.
I've seen them around, but never really understood them.
Went to their website FAQ section and got some info . . . Pretty interesting.

I have access to a CNC mill, and may end up making new end caps with the crossfire name and font on them.
Maybe I could talk ANDREW into letting my scan the badge emblem and put it on the end caps? That would look nice.

The two mufflers are $225 each, and the SS tubing is around $4.00 a foot.

I have had Super Trapps on Ford 460's with headers and they sound very good with the big CI motor. The motor was set up to operate at 2,500 to 3,500 RPM so I don't know what it would sound like at 6,000.
6,000 RPM would be 400 Hz with a V8
6,000 RPM would be 300 Hz with the V6 3.2L

As I said, sound clips will be forth coming.

Log.
