Which exhaust sounds the best?
I'm planning on getting an exhaust and I want to know which one is loud and sounds good. I don't like how I cant hear the exhaust inside very loud. So maybe some people can upload sound clips of the different brands (Borla, Cat-Back, Flowmaster, ext.) or if you have personal experience just let me know. Thanks in advance.

I chose the Magnaflow and I never looked back. The magnaflow exhaust just sounds great. I think the cars should have come with this set-up stock. Very throaty down low around 1,500 to 2,500 and then it just has a clean zip in the mid and just gets better the higher you go. The best way to describe it, is that it sounds like a stock 350z with a little more zip to it. No horrible drone on the highway. All-around, it's great.
Very good choice. I will never look back on this purchase.

I've got a Magnaflow on my SRT as well but the shop fabbed up a true dual exhaust utilizing their [Magnaflow's] dual in dual out muffler. Mine is REALLY loud and sounds nothing like a 350z. It has lots of drone while under slight load but when you get on it the sound gets truly amazing. It took a while to get used to the drone but I have actually gotten used to it.
It's still alot quieter than my Fairlane with 3 chamber flowmasters and turn downs.

There is soo much potential in the exhaust alone. I am telling you right now if you go with the magnaflow you won't be upset. It is such a clean sounds and when you get on it you get the sound of performance. The oem MUFFLER is a horrible design. That is soo restrictive. I mean the exhaust is a single 2 inch inlet that goes through one chamber then exits the muffler in a one inch pipe, then into a second chamber back around to another pipe that goes out and back in to a third chamber and exits in one split tip. While the magnaflow splits at a Y and hits dual magnapack mufflers that exit through two three and a half inch polished tips.
There is no comparison in power potential.
And the sound is truly something to experience.
If there are any owners in the southern california area i will show you the car in person. And i will even help install it if you would like back at my companies shop.
Justin PM me.

i think i'm going to go with the magnaflow. its the cheapest =D and people say its louder and thats what im lookin for =] thx everyone for your help and input. i just need to save up for my rims first. does anyone have any pics of rims using factory size tires?
I'd just like to find an exhaust system that still utilizes the stock x-fire tips. I've seen a few other exhausts with the round tips...they just don't appeal to me. It makes the center area where the tips come through look too empty.

I looked for the longest time to find one and I finally did but that was a while ago. I recently tried but it had been taken down. I wasn't impressed by it anyways.

Magnaflow has my vote. My cat-back setup arrives tomorrow... I'll hopefully have it on before friday. I'm not going to make any promises, but I'll try my damned best to get some more sound clips / videos up if at all possible.
Saw this quad exhaust on YouTube (not sure if it has been posted before):
