Default engine difference

other than the supercharger on the srt are there any major differences on the n/a motor that would prevent someone from just getting a supercharger for the stock srt and installing it?

Cool Re: engine difference

Base and Limiteds are based on the MB R112 engine/R170 platform and the SRT6 is built on the MB AMG/C32 platform. They are two totally different engines, you can add the supercharger to the Limited but after parts installation and tuning costs it would be easier and cheaper to purchase the SRT6.

our stock motor and srt6 motor share the block, forged crankshaft.

srt6 low CR pistons, and different connecting rods. I've heard srt6 heads are smoothed over porting but not positive.

srt6 has a m113 front oil cooler and it might have different oil and water pumps. other than this I have'nt had the privilage to blue print one.

try asking HDDP.

you can boost the NA 3.2 up to 5-6 psi, after that you should install low cr pistons. it's been done by several rich bastards, and will produced about 310hp due to the high 10.5:1 CR

My last auto transmission car I had was in 1978. Between 78 and 2006 when I got my SRT-6 my cars have been 4 and 5 speed manuals. I don't miss a manual at all in the SRT-6. The 5 speed auto will never be mistaken for a manual, but if you absolutely have to settle for an auto, then this is the transmission to get.
