Default True Horsepower???

I was told by my service rep at my dealership that our cars actually push around 250hp, not the 215 that Chrysler advertises. They said that the Mercedes engine actually makes that amount, but they couldn't explain why Chrysler would advertise different. Can anyone shed light on this??

The normally aspirated Crossfire puts out 215 hp, the same as the Mercedes SLK 320. Perhaps your service rep was confused by the SLK 32 and the Crossfire SRT6 where the same AMG engine is rated at 330 hp vs. the SLK 349 hp. Chrysler was not allowed to upstage the parent company hence the lower hp figure.

The specs for the OEM cam are:
Lift @ Lobe / Intake 6.59mm / Exhaust 6.73mm
Lift @ Valve / Intake 9.8mm / Exhaust 10mm

The Specs for the Schrick Cams are:
Lift @ Lobe / Intake 7.25mm / Exhaust 7.25mm
Lift @ Valve / Intake 10.8mm / Exhaust 10.8mm
