Mc Donald's , I love it!
SilverFox ... i only know cause i crave it at odd hours of the day ... i am addicted to their asian style salad (which is over 600 calories ! big mac with fiber basically !)
a little more on topic ... has anyone that ordered a intake also purchased the billet grill thats available for the xF ? wondering how much more exposed the filter is with it.

I imagine the grill makes a negligible impact on performane.
Probably weighs more so it will slow the car down (power to weight), also, it's metal so it will retain heat, therefore heating the air up more (creating less power)?

but might make a slight difference on repelling rain hopefully
to clarify .. i have both as we have two xFs ... the stock looks like a better deal for a daily driver that will see rain.

Needswings have tested their original CAI (SRT6 version) for quite some time with no ill effects.
The SRT6 members on this forum who have the aie intake reitterate this.
At xxmph a miniscule difference in the grill will not make one iota of difference to rain ingestion. Look at the stock setup - that has two tubes to funnel the water into the engine, then pool in the air filter housing!
