what type to place would pollish the throttle body and valve covers for me? i honestly dont have a clue where i could get this done at. i have wanted them pollished since i get the intake.. if anyone has any suggestions please help me out! also how long would it take?
A good place to start would be a motorcycle store - if people can't afford the chrome they will often go the polishing route.
Local custon shops, yellow pages etc. etc.

why don't you get your hands dirty and do it yourself, you can get all the supplies from Harbor Frieght dirt cheap.

Sound like that is what I when through... kinda
Edit: If you plan on polishing more parts down the road then buying the equipment is a no brainer. The stuff [compounds] lasts pretty much forever.

Send it out. I have a local polisher that does all of our stuff. I tried one thing and it took way too long without the proper equipment.
With that said we will be investing in the equipment as soon as we're in our shop.

OK, you don't want to waste your money polishing the magnesium, unless you plan on a clear coat, otherwise it will just tarnish.
I recomend you chrome the valve covers and see what that looks like first
