put mine on today, was a pretty easy mod, the bolts weren't hard to get off and i have a tip to the people who might have trouble with the rubber pieces: use a good strong thin rope that you can fit in the rubber and pull it down then get somebody else to take it off. Alot simpler then vasoline Oh yea is sounds awesome!Perfect for the car.

I also have Magnaflow exhausts installed in my ride. And I really love the sound it makes.

I want one!!! Great price, too, Gary. I could have sworn a couple of years ago when I was looking into tihis, the price was more like $700....unless that was Borla ::shrug::

Can one of you post a picture of the back of your car so I can see what the tips look like better than what the website shows, please?

Max, great picture! Now, I notice that the Magnaflow tips look perfectly round. Yet, the picture of the Magnaflow at the website where Gary bought his, the tips look like they are tapered (?). Did you do anything slpecial to the tips or do they come exactly like that?

Thanks!

No.

They are round with a slanted cut. From the right (wrong) angle, they look...oval!

Cissy,

One way or the other, I'm sure you'll love the sound. And the tips fill the OEM cutout just right. Love mine!

i'm curious as to how you got the price... when i visited their website they have it listed at $563.xx. If you could be so kind as to let us in on the discount I know I, and probably some other would be greatly appreciative.

Not to say I TOLD YOU SO BUT:

Re: Magnaflow Catback Exhaust for $350. - 08-31-2008 , 05:38 PM

Anybody have any experience or comments about this company?

ordered mine today for $390 incl shipping. I know it's more than $350 but read some bad press on Brent's operation.

I OFFERED THIS A MONTH AGO:

Ordered my 16633 Labor Day Weekend from Performancepeddler. $390.26 including UPS shipping to Texas. Was shipped 1 Sep and tracking number supplied. Received 16.35CDT, 8 Sep. and having installed tomorrow for $70 by local muffler shop. Securely packaged and contents well protected. At this point I would recommend them to future purchasers. Pictures will beforthcoming.

I've been more than pleased with mine and the sound. The $70 installation by a professional with only one torch adjustment having to be made after, was well worth trying to crawl under the car and do it myself. I'm very satisifed with performance peddler and his service.

I think it should be mentioned that as far as I know, every one of these systems needs a little "adjustment" to the 2 rear (muffler exit) hangers. As they leave the factory, they tend to make the tips off-center. To the passenger side on mine.
Have your installer hang it, wiggle it around a bit, and see where it ends up.
Don't be surprised if you have to make a trip back to make it perfect.

I really like that muffler.

Too bad it is so expensive in Europe and they don't have it in their stock.

Does anyone know if there is a big difference with the Magnaflow 12158? Wondering about the sound, etc. Price for the 12158 only 98€ (120$) but the cat back is at 499€ - 650€ not installed.

Sheers from Finland

Martosh, I think there is a youtube video/audio of that model Magnaflow. You'll have to search for it!

I am so looking forward to it. We do our own installing. I am glad it was posted that it may need some adjusting to center it properly. Hubby can work miracles with cars, thankfully

Thanks Max! I can't wait for that sound!
