One piece drive shaft
I have a Base 6-speed, so i want one for that. I could possibly get my shaft removed and shipped. If thats waht we need. What type car do you have Squirrel? I'm pretty sure its not a clearance issue, more like a sespension pivoting issue. My last car was a two shaft and changed easily to a one without any problems. How bout we get ahold of some SRT owners and Auto owners... i really want to do this mod, it changes the attitude of the car alot.

It would be interesting to have some figures to find out what the 1/4 mile times etc. would be with a one piece/lighter drive shaft.
If I get time (or if somebody else wants to do it) I'll do some research on other cars to see what they are gaining - camaros/mustangs etc.

Sounds like a plan, but the performance gain is only half the plus of one piece. We will also get rid of the problems that come with putting power to a two piece.
Right like skyshadow said the whole point of a one piece was to get rid of the failure of the carrier bearing and mount. Which i only drag raced it once at the track and im already getting a slight clunk.
Sorry, I've been in the middle of a Divisional shooting Competition so i haven't had much time to look into this.
Plus i can do little from Japan.

Squirrel crusher, Have you spoken to DSS lately? I'm going to have my drive shaft taken off my car and sent in, since I'm in Japan and don't drive right now. I think you should get yout's done too, for the SRT guys.
Looks like it might have gone the way of other projects that never happen.
We need to come up with a name for that.
Any ideas?
I'm thinking "misfire".

That sounds like a perfect heading for a forum topic heading. Maybe the forum administrators will add this one and we could keep track of the good ideas that never came to fruition. I.E. turbo, grill, drive line,v8 convertion and so on, so on
I'll call them tomorrow
I keep my crossfire in storage this time of year anyway.
I also want to see about getting the insulators removed (those big rubber bushings that hold the ds in place) and replace them with aluminum ones.

I know i said this in the srt forum but DSS makes strong and lightwieght carbon steel/cromemolly driveshatfs I'm sure one could be fabricated for crossfires
