To the OP's defense the car did run, just not with the turbos.

The guy in charge of the tuning works for Ferrari of Elizabeth, NJ. He had like two days to build a map from scratch then the yanked the car to Brazil. So if you want to see it in person, take a vaca there.

I just left the shop where they were servicing a twin-turbo catapillar motor...should have taken photos...the engine was yellow...it was real, and it did run...550 hp...unfortunately, it weighs more than our cars...don't know how that applies here, but it sounded good...love those big diesel engines...who will be the 1st to put a deisel in their XF? or electric motor? Saw an electric car on the speed channel do 12's in 1/4...I guess anythings possible today...

Acosta motorsports moved to FL a few years ago. I went to school down the street from them and they did the exhaust on my car.

They specialized in custom turbo cars and rotary motors. Some amazing stuff come out of there.

A must read in 1/12/09 Autoweek ! Audis new S4 to use 3.0 V6 333hp with supercharger instead of twin turbos!
They studied their newest twin turbos V6s against and latest SC technology and went with the new SC technology because it was decided that supercharging was superior to turbos! Their hp and torque was rated less than the Crossfires SRT6. Oh, and it only will sell for $50,000+.

I'm pretty sure the electric crossfire has been done. I think the company was called Hybrid Technologies...
