I got mine a year ago.
Once I put it on I went for a drive and knew immediately I loved the improvement.
I drove all over the place just amazed with the feeling of power and throttle reaction.
Really though everything that can be said good and bad has already been covered here and talked about and thats why a few gave you some BS.

I was not being a D!K at all. The search was recommended to you and you decided to be the D!K. It's all good......there is more information here than you can even begin to imagine. We are all very willing to help...especially those that attempt to help themselves.

 

Gee.....make a suggestion to someone to actually use the search and you become a "d**k".

If I really wanted to be a "d**k" I would have stated something like "Are you too stupid to use the search button!" or "Why do you noob igits keep trying to start the same threads over and over?" .

Instead, I suggest you use the search. It will give you all the answers you are looking for right then and there, without having to wait for people to respond.

~With 102 threads about the sprintbooster, I'm pretty sure there's plenty of opinions to nullify your "but no one ever answers the question that is asked" argument.

I find it exceedingly humorous. Many newbies come on here and do exactly what you did. Once someone points out the search button, and they look for themselves, they usually come back with something along the lines of "LOL..I guess I should have done that first.". On the opposite end of the spectrum lies you.

Let's examine your earlier statement for a moment.

In looking at that statement, a few conclusions can be drawn. First, by your use of sarcasm, we can identify one fo the following things:

1. You already understand the search button but choose to ignore it.
2. You're so provincial as to not be bothered by using the search button.
3. You view everyone else's time here as less important than yours.
4. You had no idea the search button even existed, and didn't want to look like a noob.

So let's see if I have this straight. Instead of doing a little legwork, and possibly learning something new, you choose to further dilute the already numerous sprintbooster threads with yet another thread about them. Great idea. Kind of like a self-fulfulling prophecy. Hmmm, maybe the reason the answers become so short and to the point is because there's already 102 threads on the topic, and people are getting tired of replying the same things to people too lazy to use the search.

Obviously you did decide to follow my advice. So did you find the information that you were looking for? Was this "d**k" right. Could this whole thing have been avoided by just replying "LOL....that's funny, guess I should have searched first." The answer to all of the above would be "yes".

There are a lot of people here that know a lot about the car and this forum but if you continue to attack them you will find yourself ignored. This is a great forum with lots of people very willing to help so when they answer just say .. THANKS !! JMHO

 

An opinion I completely agree with.

When I joined this forum, I spent the first 2 weeks reading just about everything I could on it. BEFORE I asked a single question. Some of the old folks on this forum are parents. And being parents they are tired of a child (read newb) that walks into a room and demands attention. My kids don't do that, and we resent ones that are poorly raised that do it.

I have to agree with what Paul says here.
We welcome all new members but if you begin to engage in arguments here with long time members it will only gain you less respect.
As you know I provided a answer to your concerns here as you know but this topic has probably had the most discussion of anything I can think of on this forum.

 

this started out a simple question???i just got the car and you expect me to have thousands and thousands of post i bought the car 1 month ago.....sorry i asked about something that i have never saw...thats what i do i ask question untill i finally feel that my question is answered!!!respect...huh...so what, i have to wait to be a long time member of the forum order to speak my opinion.....its like this in every forum,you ask a question and automatically your labeled a "newbie".....i've been working on cars for 15 years....i dont consider myself a newb.....even great *** mechanics still ask questions...and now you have "other charter members" backing you up....it was only matter of time.i found the info after i posted,but the fact remains i guess you cant askquestions here....wait a min........didnt someone ask question in order for this topic to even begin,but back then who ever asked the first question about the sprintbooster was considered a newb.....you want to ignore me thats fine....im just trying to do my best with this car....i was into the import scene and i dont think ive ever argued with any of them like ...but i guess this is what it takes to get info here...then so be it!!dont tell me how you think i was raised....alabama..hahahah..your tripping!

Obviously you already knew about it, you did spell it correctly. It's painfully simple to do a quick search. You were just too lazy to scan through a few threads. There's so many threads about this because people such as yourself don't want to do any of the legwork and just expect a quick answer.

I don't recall anyone saying that....respect is something that is mutual. You show respect and you get respect.

Many of us have been on this forum for years....you've been here a month....yes, you're a noob.

After they have exhausted their resources, and maybe even consulted a service manual or two. I've had my ASE master certifications for 18 years, and have worked on cars for many more. I spent many hours looking through service manuals.


Again....the "charter membership" is linked to a site outside this one. I haven't asked for anyone to back me up. It's simply other members agreeing with me and disagreeing with some of your statements.

Apparently you had to search for it, there's pretty much nothing new about a sprintbooster on this thread. My apologies to all who want SB information only to come upon this trainwreck of a thread.


The first say, 40 or 60 times is probably enough. Your argument is weak. If you took the time to read some of the old threads you might find them interesting. There's even an in-depth study paper of the SB in those old threads. Once again, your best bet is to read the old threads on the topic.
