Resonator delete or magnaflow exhaust?
I was starting to think to change the sound of my car, I saw people here buying the magnaflow catback exhaust but I don't like how it looks, well I mean the tips of the exhaust, in my opinion don't fit well with the car. I prefer the stock look of the tips. I also don't want to have a straight piece of piping either cause I suppose the sound would be very loud, maybe even annoying to hear in the car. Has anyone ever tried this before? Comments? Then, I saw someone removing the resonators. Does the car sound good? There was a video clip posted here somewhere on the site, I think it was a srt-6 (I have a limited) and I didn't really see the diiference in sound, or maybe the sound of the clip was poor I guess... What would you guys recommend? I also saw that there was a universal muffler from magnaflow that seemend to fit on the car on internet but was not sure if it really fit there but had practically or the same dimensions as the stock exhaust.

From my experiences with other cars that have a V6, keep the resonators and change out the muffler only. There was another posting with an ANSA muffler. The Magnaflow sounds louder from what I heard on YouTube. The ANSA muffler did sound pretty cool though. I am used to popping into autoparts stores and buying $40-$60 cheap mufflers for V8 muscle cars but in this case you will end up spending atleast $200.
From what I've read, you should just keep the cats & resonator and have just piping the rest of the way with the tips from the original muffler. And it shouldn't be much louder at all. There are shops out there that will take care of this for you. It will be quieter than my car which has the cats & resonator removed but utilizing the stock muffler.
Well if I keep the cats and resonators and put a striaght piece of pipe, as I have seen on a video of a crossfire with !!!!4!!!! exhaust tips, which look wierd in my opinion sound very loud, and police enforcement are after cars that are loud these times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuUei-11ZH0
Here's a link of the 4 tip crossfire. Maybe something less agressive would be better.I'll maybe go with a straight piece of pipe or a magnaflow muffler and maybe get the tips cut off and weld the stock tips to it if no other options are available.???Other options maybe?

I don't know about removing the resonator on a n/a Crossfire. I think you are referring to the SRT exhuast/resonator. I love my Ansa and I saw on here a guy who used the stock tips on the Ansa muffler. I am tempted to do the same.

I drove my cobra with no cats, and dumped flowmasters, for several years, with no problems with the law. I am thinking of having a system built for mine, removing the rear cats, and running duals to the back, but keeping the stock pipe and muffler for inspections, if need be. Then again, I still have the factory mid pipe, from my cobra, lying in the garage. I just can't decide based on u tube, for the muffler(s). I rarely see a crossfire around here, let alone one with exhaust mods. Guess I need to go to a meet sometime.
