I had this happen to my custom '96 Miata. I just stuck it in the dryer on "fluff". :-)

electronics and water no problem .....

if the power is off, wet circuits OK, power on and it will electrolize and corrode. Power off, no biggie just dry it off.

Battery electronics, GET THE BATTERY OUT and let it dry. Water is not too bad unless its under water forcing it into seals, caps, LED and LCD modules and switches.

Dry gently is the best bet like leather, not too much heat, lots of fan.

Remember water and electricity cause corrosion..Woody

The best way I have seen, if the part is a size that is workable, to put it in an airtight container with rice. The rice will literally 'pull' the water out of the component. I have used this with cell phones and digital cameras with great success and those are a lot more involved than your standard board.

Just my 0.02
