V8 Crossfire in Florida?
So a friend at work today told me he had seen (or in this case heard too) a V8 Crossfire (specifically silver) here around Melbourne Florida. I was wondering if any of you guys here are this person or know of someone who it could be? I'm just curious as V8 conversions are quite few. A normal person I'd say was just not hearing right, but he's a big car guy (even knows Crossfires though he's a Honda guy), so I'd take his word for it that it was a V8.
So, who dun'it?

if there is one in melbourne i will find it. i spend a lot of time there right now i am in jacksonville beach ,helping my daughter move to melborune. so now i will spend more time in melbourne, and if i do find a V8 crossfire i will let u all know. jim
You'd think that if a Crossfire owner went through the trouble of swapping a V8 into his/her car that they would be aware of this site and would have posted by now.
Maybe they thought it had a V8 cuz of the way it performed?

The V6 has plenty of power for me. But if I were to go with a V8, I'd either obtain a wrecked donor MB so that I'd have all the pieces, or I'd put in an aluminum blocked Mopar A engine, if one could be had. With the second option I'd yank out all the factory gizmos that's making that other guy's swap so difficult, and rewire as conventional North American Mopar. But that's just me ...
Could have been one (it'd be hard to know if it was a startech unless you knew about them). He told me it sounded like a V8 as they floored it out of the parking lot he was in. Although the 3.2 does sound awesome, it would be hard to confuse with a V8 unless you aren't big with cars.
LugNut, I was thinking the same thing. If I ever did a V8 conversion, I'd go with an older carb'd motor and replace all of the MB wiring with the old stuff. Sure it wouldn't be pretty, but you wouldn't have to deal with the computer going sentient and trying to blow itself up.

I was in the Melbourne area last winter but no V8 has magically appeared in my engine compartment. Maybe this winter the engine fairy will visit and leave me 2 extra cylinders. Of course I have never floored the car when leaving a shopping center HAHAHAHA.
Hmmm got me excited...
so excited i e-mailed Brian Hinson, the guy who does the V8 RX-7's, 350 Z's, G35's, and 240's...
i had one of the RX7's.... nasty car! So maybe he can come up with something.
