I regurly record "Modern Marvels" on the History Channel, The episode "It came from outer space" aired on 10/29 (I was on my way to the dragon then), fearured a spot on "hybrid Technologies" that has made a fully electric Chrysler Crossfire.

One of my favorite channels, good stuff.
In a recent broadcast ,I think it was the BBC channel they had a Honda Hybrid and a BMW M3 running the track together . With the M3 following the Honda the Hybrid only managed 14 mpg while the M3 managed 17 mpg.

 

that was Top Gear, they also raced some supercars that episode for as far as one gallon of gas would get them, don't remember which one it was but one only made it 1.7 miles

 

Top Gear it was.... I believe this is the 1.7 mpg car, pushing 1000 hp. ?
