Default Installing Needswings CAI

I acquired a Needswings intake from another person, so I do not have the instructions (unless someone wanted to send me the PDF ), and I'm wondering how the MAF sensor wiring is dealt with. My first guess is that I just need to take off the wire covering and extend each of the wires, is that correct?

Thanks for any help..

bmorgan,

Thanks, but I guess I should've specified that I have the NA Crossfire - I don't see any MAF sensor-specific instructions in that document.

Appreciate the quick response, though

Okay, so that didn't go so well..

Installed a 74mm throttle body at the same time as the intake (acquired TB from same party as intake) and I'm guessing it was bad. Had the TB and CAI installed and when I started the car it would sputter, revs would jump around and eventually shut off.

At first I thought it was the breather hose, since there was a bit of a kink in it, but straightening that out didn't seem to resolve the issue. Then, I thought it might be the MAF sensor, but unplugging that basically shut the engine off right away.

Left the battery unplugged for about 10-15 minutes and the same thing happened. Revved a bit, sputtered, and eventually shut off.

Put the old TB back on and the stock TB 'elbow' assembly and everything seems to be fine. Scared me that I messed my car up :\. Can't test-drive it with all this frickin' snow!

Any ideas on what was going on, other than maybe a bunk TB?

did you swap boards in the throttle body? if it still has the board from the supercharged motor, it work.

Infinite,

I did not - The part number of the new TB is the same as my stock one, however, the 74mm one has been bored and a new butterfly valve installed.

Good idea, though. I will try that eventually (afraid to touch my car now).
