ALMOST dead cruise control
About 2 months ago I had a rear blowout. The car didnt make any strange movements or anything...thank God for 35 series tries. Anyway, when I got my new tires on it. The cruise didnt work or at least it attempted to work. When I push the to turn on the control or to push it into the accelerate mode. I can just barely feel it attempt to do something. But then It never engages or anything. I can just feel it doing something. The tire preasure things work in all 4 tires still. I have tested them all by letting out air and the light would come on. Fill it back up and it went off. So they all work. I read a long long thread about a month ago on it. BUT, the guy that was having the same problem never said how it was fixed or if it was fixed at all. I am making a 1000 mile run in aboiut 6 days and really need this fixed. I can see many speeing tickets in this trip. These damn little things are so smooth and fast, its hard to keep the speed slow enough by myself. I really need help on this one...I need it kind of really fast also....
THANKS ALL
THANKS ALL
When the ecu/tcu saw the drop in wheel speed on one sensor it probably threw the tcu (assuming youre automatic) into limp mode.
Pull the negative terminal off of the battery for about 10 minutes, hook it back up and try again. Sometimes the ECU just needs to be cycled.
