Default replacement cat for stock exhaust

My girlfriends 04 v6 crossfire's cats are cracking. She needs them replaced ( or potentially not) depending on noise variation. Her exhaust is stock but I'm looking for a replacement cat, hi flow, or regular that will fit on the stock pipe size and I havent been able to find any nor do I know the exact pipe diameter of the stock exhaust. The dealership cost is ridiculous so anything other is suitable. Any suggestions or ideas? Also any sound clips of no rear clips would be awesome. Thanks for the help!!

If there just cracking on the outside and still work - have a muffler shop that can weld stainless steel - grind and spot weld the cracks...

Sorry should have mentioned in first post, but a shop already tried to weld it and then it cracked on the other side. I'm guessing the thing is just old and brittle and the heat is causing it to crack.

most aftermarket cats will fit in the stock locations if you wanted to go that route. You can also buy the complete peice of pipe with the cat and all the proper bends to just bolt on. your choice

do you think you could provide me with some insight on where to look for these bolt ons or any experience in which cats work. Ebay usually sucks but they sell a "catco" version cat for the left and right sides. thanks

Are not the emissions coverage cover the cat converter? which under emission warranty is 8/80 this should cover the cats not unless your out of milage? Just a thought.

Does your state require emission testing?

Is it true that the secondary cats are unmonitored (no O2 sensors)? If so, what happens (or what's the harm) if you remove them? Aside from slightly higher emissions.

you can get new cats on ebay for $30 or so each if you spend a few minutes looking for them.

you may be able to find a few used ones on here for little to nothing.

needswings.com has a cat delete set up that still used the rest of the stock exhaust.
