Default Whistling clutch?

Recently after having dinner with my girlfriend, we were pulling out of the parking lot when I noticed that whenever I engaged the clutch, there was an almost electrical whistling noise coming from under what sounded like the glove compartment. I took a little test drive down the road and my xfire was doing this whistling after every gear change, and whenever I've been in one gear for longer than 20 seconds time.

I had no idea if this was a possible clutch problem or some electrical fault. Either way I'm taking it to the Chrysler dealership first thing Monday morning. Does this problem seem familiar to anyone?

Taking this in to the chrysler stealership may prove an expensive journey. Never heard of this before in my extensive reading of the forum, but I point out I have the autostick limited. On a lighter note, you both werent at a mexican resturant, were you?

I took it in to the dealership yesterday and they said they didnt have the right tools to work on it. So now i'm in search of another dealership or repair shop.

And yes we were at a Mexican restaurant. Why do ya ask?

Since it's related to using the clutch pedal it's prob. a throw out bearing going bad. This bearing is only used when pedal is pressed down. It releases the clutch disc from the eng. flyweel so gears in tranny can be moved. Didn't notice the yr. of your car but this part is only covered under 1 yr. warranty by Chrysler.
