New cold air intake on my Limited
So me and one of my buddies pooled all the cold air intake parts we had laying around our garages from all our different cars from over the years today. Got ourselves a case of beer and decided to see what we could figure out for my crossfire.
and this is what we came up with (sorry for the bad cell phone pics)

Starting from the MAF we used a 90 degree reducing elbow, then some modified piping from a Honda Accord V6, then a 10" piece of silicone tubing, followed by a piece hacked off a part of a CAI from a durango, and finally a filter I had laying around.
After all said and done I think it worked out pretty well. And for very little money (not counting the beer, or the dr. appt i gotta make for stiches in my finger tomarow......damn pipes are sharp...) i'm quite satisfied. Definately feels alittle more powerful, and gives the exhaust a more throaty tone.
Now i just gotta find a nice mercedes engine cover for it.

Once all the stock intake crap is out of the way there is just enough room to get that blue silicone coupler hose to be pushed through. It ovals the connector out alittle bit but not bad. There is no support on it yet but it needs some, there is still a tab that i left on that first piece of pipe so i'm going to fab up a mount off an existing bolt in the engine bay and snnug it down alittle more.
