First engine troubleshooting question!
Hi everyone.
I *just* bought a 2005 SRT-6 convertible and drove it back home to St. Louis, MO. The car is doing fine, except upon leaving the dealership, the check engine light came on.
I stopped by an O'Reilly Auto Parts and borrowed their code reader, and the code was one complaining about the air/fuel mixture being too rich.
I cleared the code, and drove 6 hours home without the light coming back on again.
The only other time I've seen this code was on my Hyundai Genesis Coupe I used to own, and I only got it when using an aftermarket box designed to remap the car with a custom tune (and it wasn't working properly).
The dealer (of course) told me they "never saw a CEL come on the whole time they had the car, and suspected it was just a fluke, because they just washed it before I drove away with it".
Is this a known sign of any parts starting to go bad that I need to replace?

2. check for vacuume leaks.
my 2 cents .....
Ah, ok. I noticed the previous owner put K&N filters on it, so I'll take them out and see if they need cleaning, before anything else!
