Default Methanol Injection

I have an 05 SRT-6, with a smaller pulley, muffler delete, duel cold air, and a tune from in motion. I was thinking about spraying meth..any thoughts? pros and cons? and also saw an add about a chip from Gfchips.com....good idea? Thank you

Well, I'm still fooling with mine but so far I've seen no benefits from spraying. I'm spraying pre throttle body and my ECT's and IAT's haven't changed. HP won't change unless you tune for the methanol, well it could go down if you spray too much. My advise is to forget about it unless your willing to pull the supercharger and spray post intercooler. I'm not willing, yet. If you decide to do it be sure to share all the details.

These chips are a huge rip-off, stay away from these. They mostly fool the computer by simulating a cooler intake air temp sensor signal so you pump more fuel into the cylinders. Stay away from these chips!

EASY INSTALLATION. Installation can be performed by anyone using simple hand tools. The GF module installs into your CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE's engine bay and is connected via 2 wires that plug into the IAT sensor. Diagrams are included. The unit is then able to reprogram the ECU thus improving your car's performance. Everything needed for installation is included in this kit for a quick and easy installation that shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. There is absolutley nothing else needed to have this installed on your vehicle.

Well, like I said and truly believe, if your going to use methanol injection, you won't see any easy gains spraying before the supercharger. You'll need to spray after the intercooler. You'll need a meth tune as it enrichens the mixture about 1 full point. The leaner you can run the more power you'll make but the danger goes way up. My experience with methanol injection is limited so do more research, don't only listen to a meth noob. I installed the water/meth kit to lower my IAT's and ECT's, not for more power. It hasn't done either. In the future I may move the nozzles and get a meth specific tune. All I really want to communicate to you is if you don't do it right you won't get results. I did it the easy way and I'm disappointed in the results.

search posts/threads by 32Krazy!, grip grip, ZAHANMA, MikeR, Mimi05SRT6, and a few others are all into the 11 second 1/4. Not sure what you are after but these guys have really fined tuned and tested what can and can't be done.

From what I have read, stacked pulleys to max boost to about 23 PSI before throwing over boost codes, increase fuel, increase heat exchanger, and then all that's left is spraying with NOS.
