Best Spark Plugs and Wires for modded SRT6
About to put in a 185 crank pulley and also have a dual CAI with a tune, but currently running stock plugs. Whats the best plugs to go with for this setup and the proper gap?
Thanks.
Thanks.
for me i used the ngk plugs from rob and magnacor 8mm wires. as for gap i started at oem specs and watched for spark blowout and reduced gap 1mm a ta time until it stopped
I went with a gap of. 035 when stacked.
i have more than 2 wrenches. it only takes about 30 minutes start to stop
.1 gap reset would be .0354 after one adjustment and this is where they are for 32Kkrazy.
Just to set the record straight, I know the US is unfamiliar with metric sizes etc.
Alright grip grip. I had a great time at test and tune Sunday. I wanted to post my experiences of my first outing of 2013. The car now has an SL55 fuel pump, 185mm crank pulley, a possibly lean flash(no data yet), dual CAI, stacked heat exchangers and a Phantom Grip with 315mm Nittos. With a good launch iIt only ran 8.02 at 86.5 mph. The engine stumbled a little after changing into second and noticeably after shifting into third gear. We discussed the spark plugs so I went to Twilight Zone and got 12 Bosch Iridium IX heat range 7 for $6.99 each. When removing the old plugs I found Bosch Super Plus gapped at .27. I'll be gapping the new plugs at .35. Any idea why they went with a .27? See you at the track.
