hi fellow xfires. I was wondering could someone tell me how much im looking at for a v8 swap. im about 2 purchase a crossfire debating on either getting a na or srt6. if i get a na i wanna do a swap. if i get a srt6 i wanna get the works package from needswings. needswings told me the works package only gets 100 more hp. anybody know a xfire with a the works package. thanks for the help.

 

just get the srt6, me and maybe 3 or 4 other guys have a have done a v8 conversion on an n/a and i can speak for me that unless you have deep pockets i wouldnt recommend it i saved alot on my because i did most of the work on the conversion but if you want someone to do it you could be looking at 5 figures depending on the trans, v8 motor, and labor you go with, overall its up to you and what you want...

 

When you say the Works Package only gets a hundred more HP, that's around 425 or so with out adding weight and upsetting the balance. That's pretty damn good. With some judicious selection of products and doing the work yourself, you can add that 1 hundred HP or more for less than 3 g's. A word of wisdom, "Don't just blindly do everything, think about things, there are some alternate ways to do some things at a little less expense."

 

well the Works package is 15k which is alot.

 

and the v8 isn't much more than that. jim
