Cat Back
Any suggestions for a cat back system that would have a bit more rorty sound ? Mine is so quiet that I an hear the lifters, would like something a bit more like a Fiero GT.
Have run systems before with either a cat or turbo and no muffler at all that were nice.
Don't want something that will make the coupe drone at 70 or drown out radio/HFP, just something I can hear when to shift.
Do want something that won't affect the emissions and will use the stock routing/mounts.
ps are there options other than the Borla 140083 ?

You CAN greatly reduce the drone on the Magnaflow by replacing the rear cats with a X-pipe which also cuts out some restriction from the cats.
I have just the magnaflow on my N/A and the drone diminished some with break-in.
I run the x-pipe (in place of the deleted rear cats and "H" pipe) in front of the resonator with the muffler deleted on the SRT6 with no drone at all, but WOT is a whole different story.

OBX Racing catback is an Asian copy of the Borla system at less than 1/2 the price, same grade SS and good quality.
Some here claim that it too is a bit droney at 2300 RPM, but mine is peachy keen.

Thank you all but am curious, why two pipes at the end when the long center pipe is single ? The further from the head you get the cooler the gas so needs less flow area. I have an crossover ("H" pipe) on the Judge and remarkably smooths the pulses particularly on overrun with the glasspacks nearly six feet from the heads.
8s are special cases because of the interesting paths you need to make the pulsing even particularly with a wild cam (why the Ford Indy engine had the bundle of snakes but few V8s exhaust to the center.)
Sixes, particularly fairly mild ones are easy since their is no overlap but my understanding is that the Merc is a 90 degree V6. Buick had to use an offset crank to make the 3800 and particularly the L67 breathe properly. How is it done in the Crossfire ? Uneven length intake and exhaust only works for a narrow RPM band. YWTK.

The Magnaflow catback you are showing doesn't look anything like what I see anywhere on the web even on needswings site. Is this a custom set up? I have an srt6 so im guessing this is for N/A

No...nothing custom here at all
My photo is of a Magnaflow Cat-Back #16633 system for the na Crossfire

For the SRT it is slightly different because the SRT has a resonator and a larger diameter inlet pipe but the muffler looks the same but requires less pipe

The image of the Cat-Back on the Needswings website doesn't show the whole view of what I have on my car but that is exactly what you get when you purchase the Magnaflow Cat-Back #16633 for the na Crossfire
