Default do you think its possible??

the biggest thing i have about the crossfire performance would have to be the lack of VVT.

at 5-6k rpm i am always misfiring and losing so much power.

do you think that maybe in some farfetched world some aftermarket or maybe mopar would design some VVT for the crossfire?

i mean if they did, it would be badass.

i would gain at least 50 HP.

Supply and demand. There isn't enough demand to create a supply. When you look at the number of Crossfires produced, and then account for the fact that only a very small percentage of the owners would be interested in such a modification, there wouldn't be much of a market for it. Those few that would be interested would probably choke when they see the price since the development cost would have to be spread over very few units.

Yup, I know how much it has cost me for just a prototype of my dual intake system.Lord if I new from the start, I never would have done it. But I'm the kind of person, were if I start something, I'm going to finish it. No matter what it takes it will be done, and be the best that it can be.

you could do the head swap from the new 3.5l slk motor, but it would cost mucho.

i dunno bout that. Im sure you could get it done for 2k if you knew how to do it for yourself and waited for some slk's to crash. 2k sounds like alot, but relative to other mods its not much at all. 900 buck for an eisehaus exhaust which probably gets you 5hp or 2k for a mod that you probably get you at least 3o. But i don't want to be the first to do it, if its gets done.

well, its not that simple.

the chassis has to be ready to accept the extra power, and so does the ECU.

suspension, other crap like that.

I don't like when my post's get deleted for no reason. Anyway, ill write it again. The chassis is ready for the extra power, if you dont feel this car is underpowered for the suspension it has, pass the dochie hommie.

being SOHC (single overhead cam) has nothing to do with dual exhaust, BTW...

I despair sometimes at the threads on this forum. The cost of VVT would be more than going to Kleemann and spending the 12k to get 330 real hp. The reason you're mis-firing at 5-6k is that you're hitting the limiter. It has nothing to do with valve timing. Go to your local libary and read up on the basic mechanics of the internal combustion engine. It would help.
