Default Water in Gear Shifter Assembly

After a sudden cloudburst with top down, my 2005 Crossfire (automatic) is stuck in limp mode. Check Engine light is on an it is throwing the code P0705. I suspect water got in the gear shifter assembly. Attempting to dry and hope. In the meantime, where can I get instructions on replacing the assembly? Is it difficult - I suspect that will be what I end up doing.
