Default Blue smoke on startup after sitting

Lately I have notices blue smoke out of the exhaust on startup if the car has been sitting several days.
Valve guide seals ?
Doesn't do it if it has been sitting only a day.

Try running a can of Techron Total Fuel System cleaner through it. Did wonders for my car.

You worry about oil when you see you are suddenly using more than you did some time back. If the loss in 2,000 miles is not really noticeable you are fine. Some cars burn more than others it is the nature of the beast.
My GMC 3.2 liter V6 ended up using a quart of oil in 150 miles, now that car smoked all the time that was a worry. The dealer wanted to do a check on oil consumption before they would comment on the cause, I was just trying to get it fixed on the extended warranty. When you have a hard time seeing the customer through the haze I would say no checks are necessary.

Thanks Dave, it doesn't seem to be using any more oil than normal, which has always been close to none.
