Default Intake Manifold Gasket

Hello , I cant find the rubber gasket for the intake manifold , is it rubber or silicone? I swear when I removed it was rubber but was thrown out and the head gasket kit I bought did not come with it .

The groove in the manifold is so clean that it looks to have been a rubber type of gasket, silicone would still be there and hard to fully remove from the tract. WW

well I did clean it a lot , even used a pressure washer on it, I do remember when I removed them it was one solid piece. But then again how come there is no mention of it anywhere.. I think Ill just use silicone .

it is not an mb or Chrysler part, its just a silicon compound, put there during manufacture. As far as mb are concerned this is not a serviceable item.

the intake manifold is not supposed to be serviceable per peirburg. now i have taken one all the way apart and ported, coated and reassembled but it was an incredible amount of work to do so.

correct no formed rubber gasket, lots of rtv
