Default Motor Noise

When I crank my 04 crossfire it seems to have lifter noise sometimes and maybe even a knocking sound. I was told that the oil pump in these cars are not that good.
Any sugestions.
Yea the oil is changed regularly with the specified oil and filter.
Can I put in n additive in to help this.? The car only has 48,000 miles on it.

It's absolutely not true that the oil pumps on Crossfires are not that good.

If it sits for long periods of time, the oil drains down and take a second or two to relubricate when starting.

You don't have lifters! You may have an adjustment issue with your rockers which directly contact the cam and valve.
