My new Engine Cover
I wanted to show off my new Engine Cover that I just completed. I've always liked building custom car parts, so this was my latest effort.
A few months ago I decided to build a dual Air Intake similar to this one by Syfi, so I basically copied all of his parts. The thing is, I didn't like the engine looking so bare, I wanted the Engine Cover over the front.

However, I wanted to show off the Supercharger, so I cut out the part of the cover that hides the supercharger.............but now I had to do something about the openings where the old airbox used to sit.
I decided to make covers for these areas, first fit them out of cardboard..........
Then I shaped them out of the aluminum license plates that I removed off of my Challenger when I sold it. I hammered and dollied them into a curved shape to match the engine cover, then worked them out with Primer and Bondo.
This is the final result, the color is Metallic Platinum and I added a Silver Leaf stripe. This is the true color under the sunlight, indoors it has more of a bronze tint to it.
