Engine, Exhaust, Transmission and DifferentialPost questions here that have to do with the engine, cooling system, air intake, exhaust, Transmission and Differential
Owned my Crossfire for 16 years with no issues until recently. Sometimes the shifter will get stuck in 6th gear and I have to pull over, turn the vehicle off and push the clutch while working the shifter a few times and after 15-20 minutes it will work free again. There are no early symptoms or warnings. Clutch is not slipping or soft, no grinding or burning smells, no leaks, gear works smooth but whenever it feels like it the shifter will hang in 6th gear. Several independent transmission shops have test driven it and find no issues with the clutch or shifter. Anyone had this issue yet and know what the problem is?
Have you tried plugging in an OBD Reader / Scanner, to see if there are any specific Codes being generated?
Has the transmission fluid been flushed / replaced at all? Read in another Thread where someone had the same issue, locked in 6th, there was debris that dropped out with the fluid when they got round to flushing it.
Plus 16 years ownership must almost be a record.

Thx for the feedback. Had the transmission serviced 8K miles ago. Replaced fluid with BG premium fluid which comes with a lifetime warranty. Company will repair or replace transmission at no charge up to $4K if the original owner ever has a trans issue. Per your suggestion I will have the linkage checked by the Euro shop that serviced the transmission.
Interesting, concerning the Antenna on the rear wing. Never really noticed an antenna on the Crossfire's before. Specific to the Convertible it appears (checking on Google pictures of others). So is it hidden under the roof or something on the Coupe!?

I have the original showroom brochure for all the Crossfire's and it only shows external antennas for the Roadster. Not sure where they are for the coupe and SRT6.

Antenna is in the hatch glass along with the antenna module
There is an amplifier at the bottom of the hatch under the plastic, not an antenna. I think the rear windshield acts as the antenna and gets amplified.
Yes, I had the brakes flushed with the same product. I've had the vehicle for 16 years and every 3-5 years I have the entire car gone through and repairs done @ that time.
