SRT6 Expansion Tank Leak
I have a leak in my cooling system expeansion tank and cannot find a replacement for it. Does anyone know where I can locate Part No. 170500000549? Thank you!
Check the hose connection and find the leak, you may be able to fix it with some JB Weld if not https://www.needswings.com/factory-overflow-tank

I just replaced this for my 2004 coupe and had the common reason that the upper radiator hose connection broke - putting in the new one was a bit of a chore and I also replaced the level sensor because my coolant light went on both before and after I glued that hose back on with a vengeance. And I probably did a good job because the light went out after about two weeks. Replaced it anyway. Many parts places say the tank I got (from EBay- $70 with sensor and cap attached) will fit the SRT but just about as many say no. Perhaps you'll get an answer from someone with an SRT who has replaced one. And it sure looks like the same on as in an SRT - see this from our market - https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/market/88357. And this from the service manual leads me to think there's only one coolant tank for all models -
- Supercharged vehicles (if equipped) have additional cooling system components. The Charge Air Cooler (2), Charge
- Air Cooler Radiator (3), Charge Air Cooler Circulation Pump (4), and all related hoses make up the charge air cooler
- cooling system. The charge air cooler system operates independent of the engine cooling system. The Charge Air
- Cooler Circulation Pump is mounted to the side of the Charge Air Cooler Radiator. The pump is used to circulate
- coolant between the Charge Air Cooler and the Charge Air Cooler Radiator. The only common link between the two
- systems is the Coolant Recovery Reservoir (1). Both systems use the coolant reservoir as their source of coolant.
