Damn, thanks for the heads up, Bob, if I was any closer, I would buy one and mothball it until I am ready for the conversion and the basement is finished...

Someone is getting one hell of a deal...

I have never seen a better deal. I am tempted to buy both and flip them. Could probably get up to $2500 each. Soneone should give him a call quick. I believe he can ship the engine to you. When I bought mine it cost about $300 to ship from CA to TX.

to do the swap you only need C43/CLK430 exhaust manifolds. C43/CLK430 fan, fan clutch and fan shroud.

Beckmann can pre-program an ECU for you. You would need to complete the programming (drive authorization) at a local shop that has the STAR DAS system.

If someone buys an engine, PM me and I can can guide you through the swap.

Sure wish I had the time/funds to do this! Any idea what it takes to put one in front of a 6 speed?

Oh yeah, its super easy... Getting it to turn over and run though... Well that's the million dollar question my dad, me, Jim and Rudy are trying to figure out. Jim and Rudy have been working at it for years. As soon as my dad and I can take readings off of one in mine then we will know more of what we are getting into.

I just talked to Jason and corrected the phone number in Post #1. NOW get this!!! He wants $300 for the PAIR! or $250 for the SL engine and $100 for the other.

Also if you have a six speed car, best not to attempt this as there is no known way to start the car using MB electronics.

Please everyone, sk8erjosh09 seems to have first call on this deal, he would already have sealed the deal if the original phone number had worked.

Found a company to ship them, called the guy back and they are sold! Someone is coming by his shop with cash to pick them up... Oh well, next time I guess.

Congrats on the score and the leap of faith on mating the 6 speed. With Bob and Rudy in your corner you have a good chance for success. Good luck, we are all pulling for ya.
