Thanks for the reply – I will have to spend some more time looking around the forum. As for the “ale”, I just had my first pint of real ale (not lager) in about 10 years last week at a pub near Howden, North Yorkshire - Very nice!

Hi All

Just joined the site and liking all the info.

Live in Farnborough Hampshire, picking the Xfire up this Thursday. Silver/blue 55 plate roadster.

Hoping it turns out to be a better / more reliable car than the Alfa spider I'm trading in for it

Great to see new members about - why not attend the next Crossfire Meet at Billing Aquadrome, Northampton in August - full details in the thread. UK Ken will be driving up from Portsmouth and others from various parts of the country. Hope to see you there!

The size got me too. When I bought it, I started to worry about whether it would fit on the drive next to the other car - but it does. It looks bigger because it’s got a low roof.

The MPGs are good too - much better than I expected, especially when I started in mine I was a bit too heavy on the gas pedal. I’ve learnt to lighten up on that, and I’ve managed some good ranges with it.

I’m wondering how much go juice I’ll get through next week on the Dorset tour. I’ll have to keep a log of it all.

The car may small, its low and short, but still wide though. If I drive it into my garage the length is no prob, its just that i can't open the door to get out!!!!!!!

Must have the same size garage as me, afraid I just cheat and put the top down a lot easier to get out then:

We just had the same thing tonight. We normally see another Xfire once a fortnight if we are lucky, but in 20 minutes from picking my wife up from Leeds city Railway station we saw a blue coupe, a yellow roadster and a black roadster.

Cheers for now

Now would be a good time to pug this year’s events for UK Crossfire drivers:
Programme of Events for 2010

Come to as many or as few as you like. The Billings one would be an excellent on to be the Main Event!

Hmm, Jon, me thinks we will soon be starting an "Old Timers" Thread We bought our cars at the same time, but I think Ive put a few more miles on mine than you have, it had 16K on it when I got it, and having done the same myself in that time its got 32K showing now. Have you had the first service done yet!

Hi Steve. The dealer did a sales service before I got it (oil and filters). Then it had 4350 on the clock. I'v since changed the oil and filters twice in 3 years. Its now done 9350. Thats 1666 per year. Low for a 2004. I must get out more.
How's your's going? Still thinking of a change?

Jon
