Default Easter Meeting

Hi all.

I suggested a few weeks ago a meeting of Xfire owners at a location near Wallingford in Oxfordshire. Some of you thought this would be a great idea.
My suggestion is a meeting on Easter Sunday at lunch time for Sunday lunch. I will need to know numbers soon,so I can find the right venue e.g.location,parking,food and accommodation if needed. If there's a lot of us a hotel in Dorchester on Thames might be the place.
If you are interested add your names to this thread as soon as possible so I can get things booked up.

Jon.. Add Ken and Jane Hallett to the list.....Sunday lunch etc sounds good. Do you think the hotel might do a deal on B&B cost's if the numbers of us wanting to stay there were high enought?

Cheers
Ken.

Hi Ken.

The Hotel I had in mind was The White Hart Hotel in Dorchester on Thames. www.white-hart-hotel-dorchester.co.uk. Its still early days but if there enough of us this might be the place. Their room rate is £55 pn per person for B&B and Sunday lunch is £18.95 for 3 course. Take a look at their web site. If thats all a bit to grand, I will find local pub with a big enough car park. Its going to be busy that weekend, so I need to know numbers soon.

Cool Re: Easter Meeting

Hi Everyone,
Jon, thanks for the info' Andrea and I are on for this, we would like to come down Sat and use a Pub B&B on the Sat night. It would be great to meet up on the Sat afternoon/evening if we can find the right place, I know the Springs Hotel well, it has a good car park, and a nice guitar shaped swimming pool in the garden to sit by with a beer or a coffee! Lunch on Sunday is a brill idea, please count us in for this, then we can drift off home later on Sunday afternoon.

Cheers for now
Steve

p.s. just aquired Startech Grill upper and lower! chrome indicator bulbs - going all Bling, Andrea reckons I've lost the plot! Ah well don't care !

Hey Hey Hey... Easter plans have now changed, I now have no family comitments over easter (they obviously got a better offer!) . This means I can now make the easter meet. Can someone please tell me which B&B to book. Looking foreward to seeing you all.

I will try to get a some shine on the car

Hi Steve, Good news that you will be attending the Easter meet. Your Xfire spec sounds interesting. Have a look back at the past posts relating to this meet. Jon (Bodyman) has listed B&B details if interested. So far there are two or thre staying the Saturday night. Sunday lunch is available, he (Jon) will need to pre-book this, so plaese confirm. Will chat more generally before the meet.

Ken.

Hi Paul, Its a shame you can't make the Xfire meet this time around. Should be having a few more during the comeing year. Do have a good Easter break with the family. Easier for us old chaps, all the kids have up and left home way back.

Cheers
Ken.
