Hello From Belgium
Hello, I live in Belgium and I've got a XFire Roadster in Silver Saphir Blue since last June
I'm 39 years old and my job is representative in food-sales.
I live by Liège near Spa-Francorcamps (Formula 1 race).
I sold an Opel Speedster Turbo two months ago (more power ; 200 hp for 900 kg) but the sensation with the Chrysler is very reactive too; enough to have fun !!
I have the black interior (Console carbone too )...

Welcome from the western North Carolina mountains.
Lots of great roads for the Crossfire around here.
I'm sure you will enjoy the forum - lots of great info.
If you want similar hp to weight ratio of your Opel, upgrade to the SRT-6 Crossfire. I bought one last October, and it has been a blast.

Yes, Jeff, it's just; the SRT-6 has the same performance than the Opel.
I've bought de XF "basic" because;
- The SRt-6 in Roadster version is very rare in Europe
- More expensive (minimum 56000 US $ - used car !)
- Like this, i would buy in the futur a sport car just for the circuit again.
Wow - $56K - I should go into the export business !!
Even an SRT roadster costs less than half of that here.
The SRT is also rare in the US - only about 2000 coupes and 1000 roadsters were built.
By the way, I got to spend a summer on the coast in Belgium when I was 14 with family friends. The town was named something like "Knocke-Heist" but after 32 years, I'm sure that I got the spelling wrong. Everyone was friendly, and most spoke english which was good since I spoke little french and no flemish.

Jeff, you spell not so wrong; Knokke is the nicer station at this coat.
Over there, the always are beautiful cars ! ... and good food too !
I had thought about buying a SRT-6 in USA but the taxes here 're big... and you win about 7000 US $... this is not enough to take an enorm risk (without contact !).
Well, in the future, maybe you can help me to find a Lotus Elise/Exige...

I agree - a Lotus would be nice.
I used to have a Toyota MR2, and loved it.
Meanwhile, just get a couple of Startech badges for your Crossfire, and people will think you spent 130K euros on one of these:

- For the badges; i'm interresting for these ;

- It's true, the Toyota MR is a solution too... but I 'd prefer the Turbo version... but very rare in Europe (no imported)...
Maybe, next Spring I'll buy a kind of these sport cars (Lotus / Opel in England; very cheaper or a Toyota).
This is a pic of my ex-Opel Speedster Turbo :

I am coming over there next month the 16/8 untill the 14/9
I might drop by at Stavelo to see some friends, but I will stay in Waterloo the whole time. (parents and sis' live over there)
So there is going to be an other roadster around the block at that time.
Congrats' for your new Xfire. Love the Opel, I ahd the chance to drive it a few times but never on track. I even was thinking of buying it but then I went for the Audi TT and now Xfire.
Sheers and have fun on the Forum.

mrphotoman : I've sold my opel for the XF because the Speedster is funy but just for track... no confort, a lot of noise; no possible to travel with.
Maybe next spring, I'll buy an cheap used car (in England) just for track
[quote=Z 32]The carbon console is an option from Chrysler (very rare)...
Z 32......
Are you sure the center console was a factory option????????? It seems others say it was not. I am very very interested in this. I noticed that the carbon surface molds down into the shifter track, this seems to be unique as far as the after market stuff goes. I don't like what Ive seen this from the third party vendors as they offer overlays. Can you get a few more up close pics, this may help us determine the origins of this beautiful console.
I started another thread to solicit if anyone knows if they can be purchased.

Thanks for any help you can provide
