Font of Crossfire lettering on trunklid?

Hi!

If any one can tell me what the font is of the lettering on our trunk lid I would appreciate it. I am installing a windscreen and want to get the word crossfire put on the windscreen in an etched type decal...with the lettering to match the font type on the trunk lid. Appreciate the help!

A good decal shop can replicate the Crossfire font that is used on the car. They use the logo from The "book" that has all of the "trademarks" and cut the decal to meet your needs (if you can use a vinyl decal).

I used chrome vinyl decals for the two crossfire logos on the "air intake". It looks nice with the letters looking like they are chrome. So does the chrome MB logo I put on the intake.

I have had "original" (factory spec) vinyl decals made for cars, motorcycles and helmets.

I sat down one evening with a pencil and a ruler and drew the sill plate at the door ... then I entered it into CAD ... I can reproduce it to any scale. I then exported it as a JPG file that too can be printed larger. If anyone wants the CAD file it's in AutoCAD 2002 format. I've attached the JPG file here ...

The decal guy was able to reproduce it from what I provided. It's on and looks good although he put it on slightly crooked so, I am having him re do it. Pics later...

I'm going to check with my old "Font books" (back to a former life in graphic design) to find the original font used. As Andrew says, it's been modified, but there is definitely a core font used...i'll post back soon.

This topic is the closest that I could find to what I am going to ask, but if it needs a new topic, just let me know.

Anyway, does anyone know what typeface/font Chrysler used for the Crossfire and where to get it (free)?

It would be much apprieciated, since I've wanted to be able to use the Crossfire typeface/font on my word documents ever since I got the Crossfire.

Your decal guy should be able to make this any size you want.
My friend is making stickers using this exact design. Sample here stickers

Hey All,

I don't remember where I found this on the net, but I located a true type font someone smarter then me developed replicating the Crossfire font. Since it is a .ttf type file, I cannot attach it. If you would like it, I can email it to you.
