Has no one tinted their windows?
here is mine... at 50%...
i prefer light tint... it keeps the car looking classy and continues the shine down the complete side of the car.
and protects the interior from the sun.

i go back and forth on this one. i love seeing the cedar interior through the windows; if they were tinted the car wouldn't be as striking. IMO of course.
I personally would not want to tint my windows because I think it would look silly when I have my top down and these dark things sticking up when I ride around with the windows up. I like being able to see inside my car when I walk up to it - plus, I don't want fingerprints on my windows if people are trying to peek in to check her out (yeah, I have seen them do it!). I'm guilty of placing my cupped hand on a window to block out the light to look inside a car if the windows are tinted a tad too dark.
Now I've seen a few that have tinted windows and they look nice but I think certain colors look better then others. That happens to be my opinion.

My wife and I had a sebring convertible for several years with the factory wind blocker and loved it.
Until you try to drive distance with the top down, you just don't realize how much you get 'beat up' by the wind.
Tooling around in town is fine with everything down, but not at 80+ on a long road trip.
On topic: I probably won't tint the windows on my SRT6, black/charcoal interior keeps it dark enough.

I tinted mine to the legal limit here in VA, which is 50% front and 35% rear/rear side. I got metalized window film and I haven't had a problem with the tint yet.
Today I had my x-fire tinted with 15% tint... so far I love the way it looks! I wouldn't usually go this dark but in the florida sun it makes a big difference!
Got mine tinted the day after I bought the car. I don't know the tint % but the place that did it (and my last 3 cars) says it's the legal limit. The rear window is quite dark and serves as a good shield from prying eyes into the cargo area.

All kidding aside, I agree with Andrew. I think there should be an automatic "cut off" switch on all converts that deactivates the windows when the top is down (especially in Fla.).
In my Miata, if it's cold enough to raise the windows, it's cold enough to raise the roof.
